Our Komet KPV engines are great!

ask Horstman who he used to rebuild his!

Komet KPV formally known as the Horstman HPV

The new Komet KPV is the same as it's predecessor the Horstman HPV other than a new clutch that was added in 2009. As with the Comer K80 and Yamaha KT100, the KPV needs specific attention to detail especially in the WKA Komet Junior Sportsman class. Reducing parasitic drag is very important in these motors. We straighten the connecting rods to ensure that they are 100% perfectly straight and we work very hard on the bottom end to ensure that everything is aligned perfectly. This tedious work takes a great deal of time and no two engines are alike.

Other engine builders do not spend this time on their motors! No doubt!

Craftsmanship

We pride ourselves in our craftsmanship, and motors such as the Comer K80, Yamaha KT100 and the Komet KPV really respond to this attention to detail.

We can deliver a brand new motor or rebuild your current motor, just give us a call and let us know what you want!
